Privacy policy

What information MissionOS collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This version applies to real MissionOS accounts. This preview has no accounts, so the demo terms and privacy notice apply here.

Version 2, effective October 1, 2026

What this policy covers

This policy explains how MissionOS LLC (“MissionOS”, “we”) handles personal information about people who visit our website, join the waitlist, sign in to MissionOS, or contact us.

Campaigns and PACs also use MissionOS to keep records about their own supporters, volunteers and donors, and to run their websites and supporter portal. For that information, the campaign decides what is collected and how it’s used, and we process it for them under our Data processing addendum. If you’re a supporter with a question about your record, contact the campaign directly. We’ll help them respond.

Information we collect

We collect:

  • Account details: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, job title and photo.
  • Sign-in and security information: sign-in times, devices, sessions and two-step verification settings. Clerk runs sign-in for us. We never see your password.
  • Billing information: the billing contact, plan and invoices. Stripe processes card payments. We don’t receive or store full card numbers.
  • Workspace content you add, such as notes, tasks, files and messages. Content about a campaign’s supporters is the campaign’s data, as described above.
  • Support requests you send us, including diagnostics if you choose to attach them. You see diagnostics before sending, and they never include names, emails or records.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser, device type, pages requested and errors. We collect this to run and secure the service.

How we use it

We use personal information to provide MissionOS, keep accounts and workspaces secure, process payments, answer support requests, send service messages (such as sign-in codes, invitations, receipts and notices about your workspace), improve the product, and meet legal obligations.

We don’t sell personal information. We don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t use workspace content to train machine-learning models.

Cookies and similar technology

We use cookies and browser storage that MissionOS needs to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your theme and sidebar, and protecting forms from abuse. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add product analytics, we’ll update this policy first and offer a choice where the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only:

  • With service providers that run parts of MissionOS for us under contracts that limit their use of it. They’re listed below.
  • With your workspace. Owners and administrators can see members’ names, roles and activity in that workspace.
  • With services you choose to connect, as needed for the connection.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of people and the service.
  • With a successor if MissionOS is involved in a merger or sale. They must honor this policy.

Service providers

These providers process personal information for MissionOS:

  • Vercel: hosting the website, the app and campaign websites, and private file storage with a separate private backup store (Vercel Blob).
  • Neon: database hosting.
  • Cloudflare: bot checks on public forms (Turnstile).
  • Clerk: sign-in, email verification and two-step verification.
  • Stripe: subscription billing, payment processing and sales tax calculation.
  • Resend: sending email.

How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your account details within 90 days, except information that is part of a workspace’s records.

Information in a workspace belongs to the campaign or PAC. After an owner closes a workspace, owners can export it for 30 days. We keep it for three years after the workspace closes, then delete or de-identify it.

We keep information longer only where we must, for example billing and tax records, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Backups age out on their normal schedule.

Security

We encrypt information in transit and at rest. We require two-step verification for owners, billing managers and our staff, keep each workspace’s data separate, and log access to sensitive actions. MissionOS support can see inside a workspace only when an owner or administrator approves a request on a support ticket, and every page they open is logged. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change your account details in Account settings, download a copy of your information, and delete your account. You can choose which notification emails you receive. Service messages about security, billing and your workspace are always sent.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to appeal our decision on a request. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live. Use Account settings, or write to the contact address below. We’ll confirm your identity before acting. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. Authorized agents may make requests where the law allows.

Children

MissionOS accounts are for adults. The service isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Where information is stored

Our primary application database and private file store are configured in United States regions. Service providers may process information in other locations to provide the service.

Changes to this policy

We’ll post updates here as a new version with its date. For material changes, we’ll notify account holders by email or in the app before they take effect.
